Developers & real estate
Off-plan, RERA, developer–investor, and jointly owned property.
Shuhail Ahamed is Senior Counsel at Noura Almaazmi Advocates, advising developers, institutions, and high-net-worth clients on international arbitration, commercial disputes, and real estate across the UAE and cross-border jurisdictions.
An engineer for fifteen years before he read law, he still works like one — taking each matter apart to its load-bearing facts, stress-testing the opposing case before it is argued, and planning several moves ahead.
Shuhail appears before the onshore UAE courts and the common-law DIFC and ADGM courts, and in arbitration under DIAC and international institutional rules. He came to law after a fifteen-year career in engineering and project delivery, and holds qualifications across law, business, and product design.
Before law, Shuhail spent fifteen years in engineering and commercial roles — from tool and product design to leading contracts and commercial management on high-value engineering and construction projects across the UAE, Oman, and India, where he grew a business line from USD 7.2m to USD 17m. He is completing an LLM at The University of Law (UK), and holds an LLB and an MBA in International Business.
That background gives him an unusual fluency in the technical detail behind construction, real estate, and technology disputes — and in the commercial drivers that decide how they are best resolved.
Arbitration & disputes. DIAC and international arbitration, enforcement of foreign awards under the New York Convention, and high-stakes litigation before the Dubai, DIFC and ADGM courts — with real strength in enforcement, asset recovery, and multi-jurisdictional claims.
Real estate & construction. Off-plan, RERA, and developer–investor matters, jointly owned property, and construction contracts and claims — read through an engineer's understanding of how projects are actually built.
Corporate, M&A & regulatory. Corporate structuring, mergers and post-merger integration across large multi-entity groups, and white-collar and regulatory enforcement.

Shuhail acts across the leading UAE onshore and common-law forums, and writes regularly on regulatory developments — including Dubai's Resolution No. (2) of 2026, the Sharjah Judiciary Platform, and the CBUAE stablecoin framework.
